Enterprise Data Licensing Terms

Version 2026-04-23.

These terms govern your submission to Specific Marketplace's enterprise data licensing program. Submitting the form at /enterprises does not transfer any data or rights on its own — it opens a conversation. A binding transfer only happens if we mutually sign a separate licensing agreement.

Who this applies to

Anyone offering to license a company's internal data (for example, Slack history, Google Workspace documents, Jira tickets, Confluence pages, GitHub codebases) to Specific for use in AI model training.

Authority warranty

By submitting the form, you represent that you have the authority to bind the company named in the submission to a data licensing conversation with Specific, and that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge.

Data ownership warranty

You represent that the company owns, or has the legal right to license, the data you are offering, and that transferring it to Specific under a signed licensing agreement will not violate any contract, court order, or third-party intellectual property right known to you.

Purpose limitation

Any data that ultimately changes hands under a signed licensing agreement will be used solely to train, evaluate, and improve AI models (including large language models). Personally identifiable information will be redacted or replaced with neutral placeholders before the data is used for training, to the extent technically feasible.

Third-party personal data

If the data set contains personal information about employees, customers, or other third parties, you represent that the company has a lawful basis under applicable privacy law (including GDPR, UK-GDPR, CCPA, and analogous regimes) to share that information with Specific for AI training, and you agree to cooperate with any required notices or data-subject requests.

Payouts

Specific typically offers payouts in the five-figure USD range, with the exact amount negotiated based on the size, uniqueness, and quality of the data set. No payout is owed unless and until a licensing agreement is signed.

Withdrawal of consent

You can withdraw your submission and the consents recorded with it at any time before a licensing agreement is signed, by emailing sid@withspecific.com. Upon withdrawal we will delete the submission record within 30 days.

Confidentiality

We treat your submission as confidential and only share it internally with the team member(s) evaluating the opportunity. We do not publish the information you submit.

Verification

To process your submission, we run an automated cross-check of the public information you provide (company name, LinkedIn URL, headcount, status, location) against public web sources. This check is used only to prioritize review — it does not determine the outcome on its own.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflicts-of-law rules.
